ABOUT ECNL

Since 2009, CESA has been a member of the prestigious Elite Clubs National League (ECNL). The Elite Clubs National League is recognized on a national level as the most productive player development arena available to the aspiring player and is made up of over 90 clubs nationwide. 
 

GIRLS ECNL COACHING STAFF

Andrew is a native of Scotland but moved to South Carolina in time to play at various youth levels in the state. A graduate of USC-Spartanburg, Andrew was selected as an NSCAA All-American in 1990 and an NSCAA All-South member in 1989 and 1990. Andrew holds a USSF “B” license and has over 30 years of experience as a club and high school coach, tournament and camp director. Andrew played professional soccer with the Columbia Heat and the Carolina Shamrocks. As the Director of Coaching for the former Greenville Futbol Club, Andrew coached the U18G team that won the Region III championship and placed third nationally in 2000, and he coached the U18G and U15B teams that were Region III finalists in 2004. Andrew's teams regularly advance to the ECNL National Playoffs each season highlighted by the 2001 Girls who were National Quarterfinalists in 2018.

 

Cole is a native of Charleston, SC and attended High Point University where he played in over 75 games as a midfielder during his career. Cole spent time with the Palm Beach Pumas and Fredericksburg Gunners of the PDL, and Welsh Premier League side Llanelli AFC during his college years. Cole has coaching experience at the youth and college levels and holds his USSF "A", USC Premier, and USSF National Youth licenses. Cole's teams regularly advance to the ECNL National Playoffs highlighted by the 2004 Girls who were National Quarterfinalists in 2019 as well as the 2003 Girls who won the North American Cup that same year. After his playing career, Cole entered the world of professional distance running, competing for Reebok from 2010-2016. He is a 2016 and 2020 US Olympic Marathon Trials Qualifier. He is married to Esther and they have one son, Solomon.

 

BOYS ECNL COACHING STAFF

Vic’s experience in coaching and playing spans over 25 years. Prior to joining CESA in 2019 Vic was on the executive leadership team and was an integral part of the growth and success of the Lonestar Soccer Club in Austin, TX since 2002. Earlier he was the Assistant Director of Coaching for the Classics Soccer Club (Houston, TX 1996-2002). He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina – Upstate and was a player/assistant coach for the South Carolina Shamrocks of the USL Select League (1994-1996). In 1994, he was the Head Women’s and Men’s Assistant Coach at Spartanburg Methodist College in which the Men’s Team won the NJCAA National Title. Vic holds US Soccer “A” and Academy Director licenses. Vic led the 2006 Boys to the ECNL National Championship in 2021- the first team to do so in CESA history. He is married to Darlene (Campbell) and has two children, Megan and Keagan. Keagan is currently a Freshmen who plays at Depaul University in Chicago.

 Greg Hennelly joined CESA in 2023 after relocating from Chicago, IL.  Hennelly, originally from Akron, Ohio, most recently held the Boys Director role at Chicago FC United where he oversaw the boys side of the club.  Hennelly also has experience coaching at the NCAA Division I Level where he was the Assistant Coach with Bowling Green State University (also his Alma Mater).  Following his time at BG, Hennelly made the move to Des Moines, IA where he was named the DOC for the Iowa Rush Soccer Club while also holding the role as the First Team Assistant with the Des Moines Menace of the USLII.   Following his time in Iowa, Hennelly relocated to Chicago, IL to take on the Head Boys Director Role at Chicago FC United in 2017. While at FC United, the Boys U20 Team won the 2021 USYS National Championship, which was the first National Championship in club history.   Hennelly then made the move down to Greenville where he is currently with the Boys ECNL Program and also oversees Social Media Operations.

ECNL GOALKEEPING STAFF

Coach Choco is a former professional player in Colombia and Argentina with more than 10 years of experience as GoalKeeper.  Choco has competed with various clubs throughout multiple teams on both the first and second divisions.  Coach Choco is an experienced coach with more than 10 years coaching at various levelt, and is certified by ATFA (Argentina) (CONMEBOL), holds his US Soccer Federation 'B' License and is certified by United Soccer Coaches Diploma.  Coach Choco is currently the GoalKeeing Director for all of CESA
